Objectives
Research data management is an extremely important portion of the scientific work. It includes strategies and repeated processes that leads to proper storage, organization and documentation of research data. The scientific data curator of the research unit supports the Kili-SES team members in those steps with a strong focus on the internal and external re-use of data, as well as following the FAIR principles and DFG guidelines.
Outcome
In collaboration with the BEXIS2 team led by Prof. König-Ries at the University in Jena, we established a data management instance (you can find it here). All the datasets of the Kili-SES are archived shortly after collection with an extensive metadata documentation. The metadata is publicly available to increase the external visibility of the research unit. Published datasets will be archived on long-term platforms.
